The Stella Maris Retreat House on the Ocean Avenue in Long Branch N.J. The property sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean, one of the original Gilded-Age cottages on the city's beachfront. The property is where George William Childs, the publisher of the Philadelphia Ledger, built a summer cottage and then encouraged President Ulysses S. Grant to visit.

The property and structures suffered significant damage from superstorm Sandy in 2012 and The Retreat Center ceased operations in 2015.
